MOSIS
MOSIS has special expertise that provides Multi-Project Wafers (MPWs) and related services that drive IC innovation. This "shared mask' model combines designs from multiple customers, or diverse designs from a single company, on one mask set. It's a practical prototyping channel that allows designers to debug and perform essential design adjustments - before making a substantial strategic investment. Today, with mask costs soaring, more designers than ever are using MPWs to manufacture proven devices and prototype new designs on a single wafer.
Fabrication processes available through MOSIS are:
1) Access to Technology
MOSIS provides access to a wide variety of semiconductor processes offered by many different foundries. Each foundry has its own technology as an example:
IBM Fabrication Processes The IBM fabrication processes available through MOSIS range from 45 nmto 0.25 µm in CMOS, and from 0.13 µm to 0.50 µm in SiGe BiCMOS.
TSMC Fabrication Processes Multiproject wafer (MPW) runs available through TSMC include a range of feature sizes from 40 nm to 0.35 µm, many available in low power, low voltage, and high voltage.
2) Scheduled
MOSIS offers multiproject wafer (MPW) runs for some IC fabricators. Designers need to plan design activities to meet the schedule constraints. To be considered on time for an MPW run, layout and paperwork are due to MOSIS by 1 PM PT (Pacific/California Time) on the date listed.

3) Support
You will find a variety of channels to access information, ask questions, get technical assistance and keep close tabs on your order.
MOSIS Online Support System: The MOSIS Web-based customer inquiry and support system allows MOSIS customers and the general public to submit support requests and other inquiries to MOSIS 24 hours a day, and track the status of those inquiries online. Your email address is your user name in this system.
MOSIS Technical Support by Topic: MOSIS provides CAD tool support files from our vendors: as, DRC or LVS decks for specific platforms and tools. In some cases, very complete design kits (like PDKs) are available.
Support by Direct telephone: You may also speak to one of their representatives at our California support line at +1 310 448-9400. Help is available here for urgent customer service or technical support, from Monday-Friday (except holidays), 8:30am -5:30pm Pacific time.

4) Pricing
MOSIS has replaced its online price list with an online price generator. MOSIS offers minimum (e.g. 40 die) and medium (500, 2000 die, etc.) quantities within the regularly scheduled (typically monthly) Multi-project Runs. Dedicated runs (also known as COT or Customer Owned Tooling runs) are available for all processes. Dedicated runs can be scheduled to start at any time.
There are several forms as:
NOTE: The Automated Price Quote Request or the standard prices can be used when a customer needs one lot, but for a larger number of parts, use the Custom Price Quote Request.
